Oleg Polkovnikov emerges as one of the most decorated Ukrainian hockey players of his era. Commencing his journey at Sokil school, he ascended from local competitions to global stages. Representing teams like Ak Bars, Lokomotiv, Spartak, Dynamo, and CSKA, alongside stints at Austrian Kapfenberg and Ukrainian Biliy Bars, Oleg amassed numerous championship titles and accolades. His prowess was evident at the World Championships, showcasing his talent for Ukraine’s national team.
Since 2011, Oleg has been integral to the development of young athletes at Kryzhynka school. He plays a pivotal role in preparing pupils for the transition to professional hockey, thereby contributing significantly to the sport’s growth in Ukraine and nurturing future champions.
