Vitalii Andreykiv was born in Lviv and began his senior career with Moloda Hvardiia Donetsk during the 2013/14 season. He later represented Kremenchuk, Sokil Kyiv, and Donbas Donetsk in the Ukrainian championship.
The defenseman also gained extensive international experience in Kazakhstan, playing for Kulager, Beibarys, Aktobe, and Altai-Torpedo. In addition, he spent time in Poland with Polonia Bytom and Zagłębie Sosnowiec.
Andreykiv has represented Ukraine at the U18, U20, and senior national team levels. His international achievements include gold and silver medals at the IIHF U20 World Championship Division IB, as well as gold, silver, and bronze medals with the senior national team in Division IB. At club level, he has won two silver medals and one bronze medal in the Ukrainian championship.
Since the 2025/26 season, Vitalii Andreykiv has been a player for Kyiv Capitals.
