Kyiv Hockey Derby tournament is set to kick off this coming Saturday at the Chalette Arena, running for four weeks until the beginning of June when the ultimate winners will be crowned.

Among the four competing teams are Kyiv Capitals, Kryzhynka-Capitals, Sokil Junior, and Sparta. The tournament will commence with an exciting showdown between the representatives of our club, pitting the champions of Junior Hockey League against the seasoned adult team in a battle for supremacy. Notably, Ihor Arkhypenko revealed plans to bolster the team with talent from Kryzhynka school who have been making waves abroad, albeit necessitating some players to split their time between the youth and adult squads. This dynamic is poised to fuel the young players with unwavering motivation.

Additionally, Ukrainian hockey players who have committed to another season with Kyiv Capitals will also showcase their skills in these matches, providing an opportunity for the team to stay sharp while offering Vadym Shakhraichuk a chance to experiment with different team compositions.

The tournament will also feature matchups between Sokil Junior and Sparta, with the majority of Tryzub players suiting up for these teams, promising an intense clash on Sunday.
