The 2024/2025 season has proven challenging for all clubs participating in the hockey championship. Unlike previous years, teams are now fully responsible for organizing home matches and covering all refereeing costs independently.

Since the start of this season, HC Kyiv Capitals has allocated over 100,000 UAH to ensure proper officiating.

Unfortunately, despite these efforts, we continue to face the same challenges. The level of refereeing remains subpar, as observed during the previous season, and there appears to be no motivation within the refereeing corps to improve their approach.

As a result, the management of HC Kyiv Capitals has decided to suspend the current officiating arrangement for the home games of both HC Kyiv Capitals and HC Kryzhynka.

In response, we are opening applications for our hockey referee school. Upon completing the course, participants will earn the appropriate certification. To encourage aspiring referees, HC Kyiv Capitals is committed to reimbursing the cost of the training for those who complete the program.

We remain dedicated to improving the quality of hockey in Ukraine and look forward to fostering a new generation of qualified referees.
