Illia Korenchuk began his senior career with Kremenchuk and also represented Donbas and Altair in the Ukrainian championship. Internationally, the forward played for KH Energa Toruń, GKS Tychy, and Zagłębie Sosnowiec in Poland, as well as Milton Keynes Lightning in the United Kingdom.
A regular member of the Ukrainian national team, Korenchuk has won one bronze medal at the IIHF World Championship Division IA and two bronze medals in Division IB. At club level, he is a three-time Ukrainian champion, has earned two silver and one bronze medal in the Ukrainian championship, and also won a bronze medal in the Polish championship.
Ahead of the 2026/27 season, Illia Korenchuk joined Kyiv Capitals.
