Two-time champion of Ukraine Vladyslav Luhovyi signed a contract with Kyiv Capitals.
Recognized as the best assistant of the last regular season 2022/23, striker Vladyslav Luhovyi will continue his professional career under the leadership of head coach Vadym Shakhraichuk as part of the Kyiv Capitals team.
Luhovyi, born in Simferopol and a pupil of “Dnipro” from Kherson, 27 years old, won the championship of Ukraine last season, playing for the team “Legion” from Kalush. His achievements include 43 points (11+32) in 30 matches, winning the title of the best assistant in the championship of Ukraine, and a high place among the best scorers in the league. In the playoffs, where “Legion” represented its team in professional hockey for the first time, Vladyslav also distinguished himself with a goal assist in three games.
His entire career, except for the 2014/15 season in Chisinau “Platinum” (MHL-B), was spent in Ukraine, where he played for “Kremenchuk” (4 seasons), “Donbas” (2 seasons), as well as one season in “Dnipro” from Kherson, “Mariupol” and “Rulav Odd” from Kharkiv. In particular, as part of the Donetsk club, Luhovyi won the title of champion twice (2018, 2019) and raised our pride – the cup above his head.
It is important to note that the new Capitals player has experience playing for all levels, from junior to youth and national team.
