By the turn of the calendar, today marks the day when Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team will play its first championship match outside of Kyiv.

Storm-Odesa enter the game sitting atop the standings, while Capitals have slipped to third place. Also, it’s worth noting that Sokil has played one more match and is set to face off against Dnipro later today.

In their previous matches both teams faced off against their direct rivals for a playoff spot, but unfortunately for Oleksandr Bobkin and Vadym Shakhraichuk’s teams, they suffered defeats. Capitals lost in derby against Sokil, and Storm-Odesa couldn’t handle the pressure of Kremenchuk.

The previous encounter between the two teams ended in favor of the team from Odesa, with Aleksiuk’s double securing a 3:2 victory at Chalette Arena.

Storm-Odesa has netted 36 goals throughout the championship, six more than Capitals. This places Oleksandr Bobkin’s team in second place for scoring, just behind the league leader Kremenchuk with 45 goals.

On the defensive end, Vadym Shakhraichuk’s squad has conceded the fewest goals in the entire championship – just 12. However, both Storm-Odesa and Sokil have each let in 15 goals, placing them in tied second place in this statistic.

In terms of individual goal-scoring, Panchenko leads the charge for the Kyiv team with seven goals, while Odesa boasts a more distributed scoring effort, with Stetsiura and Poymanov each contributing five goals.

Ultimately, the focus remains on the upcoming head-to-head match. The key question is who will emerge victorious and claim the crucial three points.
