Today team of Vadym Shaikhraychuk will play 4th of 5 matches of the first round and the second derby in the history of the championship of Ukraine.
The opponent of Capitals doesn`t need any additional introduction. Oleh Shafarenko’s team is the current champion of Ukraine, as well as a finalist of the Cup of Ukraine.
Currently, Sokil leads at the tournament table and has eight points after the results of three matches. In turn, the Capitals are third and have two points less.
During the break between the end of the Cup of Ukraine and the start of the championship, the future opponents has played a friendly meeting between themselves, which ended in a draw – 4:4.
Among the interesting facts, we have to admit that ten hockey players from the «Capitals» previously had the experience of performing in Oleg Shafarenko’s team. Therefore, the future derby between the two teams from Kyiv will have an even more interesting connotation.
