Today, for the first time in the season, Kharkiv Berserks will play against Capitals in Kyiv Sports Palace. In general, this match will be the third face-to-face meeting of the season between the teams.
For the first time, the opponents met on the ice of Iceberg in Kremenchuk as part of the Cup of Ukraine. This match was the debut in the history of Capitals, and the fans saw super-productive hockey. As a result, team from Kyiv won with a score of 11:2.
For the second time, the teams had a face-to-face match in Vinnytsia. Capitals scored fewer amount pucks (the score was 6:0), but the completed shutout was good news for our goalkeeper Borys Babik.
The best scorer of Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team in these matches was Yaroslav Panchenko, who scored five pucks. Now Panchenko continues to lead in the ranking of scorers of the championship with 15 productive actions (9+6). It should be noted that there are four more Capitals hockey players in the TOP-10 according to these indicators: Mykola Dvornyk (3+7), Mykyta Oliynyk (2+8), Serhii Chernenko (3+6) and Vladyslav Kutsevych (1+8).
We have to admit that currently Kyiv Capitals are in third place. Our team has one point difference with Dnipro, which played one match more. We will also add that the two Kyiv teams (Sokil and Capitals) are the most productive this season (33 pucks scored). However, Oleg Shafarenko’s team conceded one puck less.
As for Berserks, Pavel Legachev’s guys is the only team that did not win this season, having scored one point in an away match against Dnipro. Currently, team from Kharkiv is on sixth place. Of course, the hosts are the favorites of the match, but their status must be reinforced by their actions on the ice.
In addition to our match in the seventh round, another meeting will be played this week. Dnipro and Kremenchuk played their match earlier, and Sokil with Tryzub will play on the ice of Kyiv Sports Palace tomorrow.
