Already from the start of the meeting, the Kyivans, as the favorites, began to pressure their opponents, which resulted in two dropped pucks before the end of the third minute. Tyschenko managed to realize a bright solo pass, and Koyda was left out of Sushak’s affairs with a powerful throw.
«Capitals» managed to develop their advantage before the break. Sirchenko found Panchenko with a pass from the side, and the latter in a wonderful jump threw the third puck for the nominal hosts.
At the start of the second period, Yaroslav managed to score a double. Kutsevych made an accurate pass from the wing, and Panchenko easily resolved the situation in favor of the «Capitals». However, the «Kharkiv Berserks» quickly reduced the difference in the score. Pavel Legachev’s team managed to realize the majority. Valentyn Muryn shot Babik from close range, but the keeper saved his team. However, Bezuglyi was the first to finish, who sent the puck into the goal.
Before the second break in the meeting, Vadym Shakhraichuk’s wards scored one more time. Oliynyk brought Kryvonozhkin into a striking position, and he upset Sushak for the fifth time from close range. It should be noted that closer to the end of the period, both teams changed goalkeepers. Taras Muryn appeared in the goal of the Kharkiv team, and Boyko began to defend the Kyiv team’s goal.
In his flash interview before the final 20 minutes, Mykyta Oliynyk noted that no one will save energy for the match against «Kremenchuk». The third period was more productive than the previous two. Four pucks hit Taras Muryn’s goal in two minutes. Panchenko scored a pocker, Kryvonozhkin scored a double, and Plesovskikh scored another goal.
However, everything was not limited to this. For the first time in this meeting, «Capitals» realized the majority. Panchenko added an assist to the four pucks scored, and Chernenko scored the first effective shot.
Sekirko scored the eleventh goal of «Kyiv Capitals» .Taras Muryn defended his goal as best he could after shots from close range, but he could not cope with Yevhen’s finish.
Kharkiv residents had the last word in the meeting. In a difficult situation, Duyun reached for the puck and passed it to Karnaukh, who with a powerful shot prevented Boyko from defending «dry».
Nevertheless, this team of Vadym Shakhraichuk was unlikely to be upset. The Kyivans celebrated a bright victory in their first ever match, but they will play a decisive match tomorrow. At 18:00, our team will fight for a ticket to the finals of the Cup of Ukraine against the hosts of the tournament – HC «Kremenchuk».
