In this game the hosts didn`t use on the ice Teamriuc, whose place in the first five was taken by Tyshchenko, while Luhovyi made a comeback to the team following an injury. At the same time the Pikes arrived with a full roster of 22 players for the match.

Similar to the previous games against Kryzhynka and Kremenchuk, our team capitalized on their first power play opportunity. Berdniks scored a powerful long-range goal, setting the tone for the match.

Dnipro briefly equalized after Delii took advantage of Vasyliiev’s error, beating Boiko with a close-range shot. However, Capitals quickly regained the lead with two goals. Kryvonozhkin netted the second goal past Taras Muryn, followed by Panchenko extending hosts advantage.

In the opening period, Kostiantyn Butsenko’s team had a brief double man advantage for nine seconds, but failed to capitalize on the opportunity.

On the other hand, Vadym Shakhraichuk’s squad played effectively with a 5×4 advantage, scoring a quick goal at the start of the second period. Karpenko made a precise shot into the corner after being set up for a throw-in. Later in the period, Karpenko netted the first double of the match, finishing off Kryvonozhkin’s attempt, with Oliynyk, last season’s top assist maker, providing the third assist.

In the final period, Berdniks scored his second goal of the game with a well-placed shot from mid-range.

Similar to their previous matchup, Capitals found themselves shorthanded due to penalties. Tyshchenko received a major penalty for a head attack, followed by Chernenko earning a two-minute suspension, giving Dnipro a two-minute double man advantage.

However, Boiko stood tall during this crucial phase. The home team managed to score two more goals before the final whistle, courtesy of Liesnikov and Kryvonozhkin. Andrii completed the third double for Capitals. The guests responded with a goal from Osadchyi in the closing moments, narrowing the score gap.

With this victory, Capitals secured the top spot in the standings, although their main rival Storm-Odesa still has a game in hand. Our team will face Sokil in the upcoming derby this Friday. Meanwhile, Dnipro will play against Kryzhynka for the first time this season the following day.
