Two teams from Kyiv are gearing up for their final match in the regular season this Friday.
Previous games for both teams weren`t good enough. Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team faced their first away defeat against Kremenchuk, followed by a loss to Storm-Odesa in a shootout. Consequently, they relinquished the top spot to Sokil. The upcoming game is crucial for Shakhraichuk’s team to snap their losing streak.
Meanwhile, Ihor Arkhypenko’s team suffered a defeat against Sokil last Friday. During the break, some players from both teams formed Kryzhynka-Capitals and competed in four Junior Hockey League matches, winning twice against Kremenchuk but losing twice to Sokil. The more experienced players focused on training during the break from official matches.
In the last five matches, Kyiv Capitals hockey players have emerged victorious, making them the favorites for this upcoming matchup. Nevertheless, the youthful squad of Kryzhynka will have another opportunity to showcase their skills against the championship contenders.
News broke yesterday that Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team has welcomed new additions in Canadian player Sam Hu and American player Dash Quartarolo. It remains to be seen if these new recruits will make their debut in the upcoming match scheduled for tomorrow.
