Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team has successfully crossed the finish line and is now preparing for the three final matches of the regular season, which will take place over the next 11 days. The first match will be held in Vinnytsia against Berserks-Patriot. However, it has been confirmed that Pavlo Taran and Serhii Chernenko, who have been disqualified, will not be participating in this match with the Kyiv team.
Throughout the season, these two teams have faced each other five times, with the Capitals emerging victorious on each occasion. The matches in Vinnytsia resulted in scores of 6:0 and 9:2 in favor of the hockey players from Kyiv. On the other hand, the most lopsided match of Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team, with a score of 13:0, and the most thrilling encounter between these teams, which ended with a score of 6:4, both took place in Kyiv. In the latter match, Vinnytsia team managed to take a initial lead of 3:0. In another home match Capitals secured a dominant victory of 7:1.
Capitals approach the report meeting as favorites and are highly motivated from a tournament perspective. The team from Kyiv have already secured a spot in the playoff zone but are still competing for the highest possible position among the four semi-finalists.
Moreover, in one of their recent matches, Pavlo Legachev’s team achieved their first victory on the ice this season, defeating Tryzub (remember the technical victory over Sokil). This certainly adds to the Vinnytsia team determination to achieve favorable results against their competitors.
It’s also worth noting that Kremenchuk will host Dnipro in another match of the tour on Thursday, while Tryzub and Sokil will face each other on February 22nd.
