Privacy policy

Public Organization “Hockey Club “Kyiv Capitals” (hereinafter – the “Company”) is responsible for protecting the privacy of personal data of users of its products and services (hereinafter – “Users”). The current Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) was created to clarify to Users the procedure and methods of obtaining, storing and using their personal data.

HC “Kyiv Capitals” is a Ukrainian company, located in Ukraine, and is the developer and owner of various products and services under the HC “Kyiv Capitals” brand, including an online store (hereinafter referred to as “Services”). Hockey Club “Kyiv Capitals” is the controller of personal data of Users of the Services. The controller of personal data is the person who determines for what purpose and how to collect personal data.

The Company has prepared this Policy taking into account the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Age restrictions

Gathering information

The Company receives the User’s personal data in several ways:

directly from the User
as a result of the person’s use of the Services;
as a result of monitoring the User’s activity in the Services.

We also collect information about which pages and functions in the Services the User used most often, which advertisements he viewed, which products he purchased on kyivcapitals.com, kyivcapitals.shop, and which he viewed.

Grounds for collection and methods of data processing

Public Organization “Hockey Club “Kyiv Capitals” collects and processes data of Users, based on the following grounds:

The Company collects and processes data about the User on the basis of a contract between the User and the Company. By registering and using the Services, the User enters into a service provision agreement with the Company. In order to provide the services as a whole and some of their individual components (such as kyivcapitals.com, etc.), the Company must collect and process certain User data;

The Company may process User data if required by law applicable to the Company’s activities. The Company may also provide data about Users at the request of judicial authorities, authorized law enforcement agencies or when collecting

information and identification are required by the legislation on financial monitoring and prevention of money laundering, other applicable legislation.

Data storage

The Company stores the User’s personal data only as long as it is needed by him or the Company for the purpose specified in this Policy. The latter also applies to any other third party that performs certain actions on behalf of the Company. If the Company does not need certain data about the User and does not need to store them in accordance with the requirements of the law, it will delete them or store them in a way that makes it impossible to identify the User.

Data sharing

The Company transfers and may transfer User data:

to third parties – processors, that is, companies that help the Company collect, store, analyze, structure, and otherwise store and process information or perform other actions on behalf of the Company;
to third parties – companies with which certain products and services of the Company are integrated;
to third parties – advertisers, in which case the information is provided in a generalized and aggregated form, which makes it impossible to identify a specific person;

to other Users who receive certain information about the User using the data displayed in the profile;
to third parties if there is a legal basis (for example, the disclosure of certain contact information about the User who distributed illegal content, at the request of the right holder of such content);
to third parties in case of implementation of merger and acquisition agreements with the Company;
to state and judicial bodies in the event of a legal basis and a corresponding requirement.

Setting up access, editing, and deletion of personal information

The company takes the privacy of the User’s data seriously and strives to ensure an appropriate level of transparency in its work. In this regard, having provided enough data to identify the User’s identity (for the purpose of protecting the privacy of other Users), he can ask the Company about his personal information and correct any inaccuracies in this data.

The User has the right to access the data that the Company collects about him. In order to exercise this right, he can send a letter by e-mail to: info@kyivcapitals.com. The Company may ask the User to carry out additional verification or verification procedures to ensure that the information is provided to that User. The Company will process and respond to the request within 30 calendar days of receipt of such request.

Stored data will be deleted by the Company after the expiration of the storage period established by law or agreement, as well as if the Company itself no longer needs to store certain data. The user has the right at any time to request the deletion of information about himself from the Company’s database, has the right to withdraw his consent to the use or processing of personal data at any time. After withdrawing consent to data processing, the User will continue to be able to use the Services, but certain functionality may not be available.

The User has the right to change personal data if the data available in the Company is outdated or inaccurate. If the User has difficulties with changing information about himself, it is necessary to contact the Company by sending a letter by e-mail to the address: info@kyivcapitals.com.
