This collaborative drop by Kyiv Capitals and Inspiration Family, a foundation supporting cancer patients, was created especially for the upcoming Race for the Cure® charity run in support of women affected by breast cancer. All profits from sales will go toward psychological support groups.
The collection features hoodies, T-shirts, and caps with the messages “every check matters” and “make the check inspire others” — important reminders that every check-up matters. The campaign features Ukrainian ice hockey champions from the 2024/25 season Kateryna Slobodian and Elizabeth Alipova, as well as team manager Oleksandr Buniak.
“It’s important for us to take part in social initiatives, especially those focused on health and well-being. We have a great, engaged community, and we believe it’s important to raise topics that go beyond hockey. Sport is all about supporting one another. And this campaign is another reminder that hockey is not a stereotypically male sport,” says Anastasia Zimina, CEO of Kyiv Capitals.
Profits from the collection will go toward psychological support groups run by the Inspiration Family Foundation for women with a history of breast cancer. The foundation emphasizes that psychological support is not a secondary aspect of treatment, but an important part of it.
“A diagnosis changes not only the body, but also a person’s emotional state, relationships, and self-confidence, and today there is an enormous need for this kind of support among women. We want every woman who has gone through or is currently going through this experience to have a space where she can be heard and supported — not only during treatment, but afterwards as well,” says Hanna Uzlova, President of the Inspiration Family Foundation.
