Dear hockey community!
In light of the recent announcements appearing on the pages of various Ukrainian teams, we would like to express our position on this matter.
Players Nazar Boiko, Oleksandr Valkun, Denys Plesovskykh, Matvii Mazko, and Tymur Lapko received official invitations to the team’s training camp in Latvia but didn`t come.
Today, Kyiv’s Sokil announced the signing of Nazar Boiko, and the rest of the players can be seen in photos/videos from the locations of other teams. Therefore, we want to clarify this situation from our side.
The mentioned hockey players signed contracts with Kyiv Capitals in April 2025. Their terms expire on March 31, 2027.
HC Kyiv Capitals has not given consent for the release of these hockey players to any club within the FHU system or any other federation until the expiration of their contracts.
Any attempt to register the mentioned hockey players by another Ukrainian club without the written consent of HC Kyiv Capitals will be considered a direct violation of IIHF regulations, which will result in disciplinary action for both the players and the club attempting such registration.
Given the breach of contracts by the hockey players, our club has appealed to the FHU. Currently, the appeal and disciplinary committees of the federation are handling this case.
The club’s legal process has already been launched, and currently, the club is going through the first instances of sports justice.
