Oleg Tymchenko’s squad tested their strength against another EIHL representative.
For the final match in Scotland, the Kyiv Capitals coaching staff traditionally made only a very small number of adjustments. Duve appeared in goal from the first minutes, and Illia Baida replaced Zelts on the fourth line.
The first period went quite well for the Kyiv team. Jansons and Kovalchuk (who scored one goal in each of the matches against the Scots) took turns putting the visitors ahead, but the teams went into the first intermission with a narrow lead for the Dundee Stars.
In the second period, the hosts increased their advantage to two goals, and in the final 20 minutes, Rautiala managed to score another goal for Oleg Tymchenko’s team (his debut for Kyiv Capitals). However, the Stars won with a score of 6:3, and for the Ukrainian representatives, this defeat became their first in regulation time in Scotland.
