Oleg Tymchenko’s team returns to home ice having completed the minimum task. In Riga, Kyiv Capitals secured one victory, and now the teams will play two games at the Inbox Ice Arena.
In the previous matchup, the opponents showed that the playoffs are, above all, about quality, not quantity. Although the Capitals outshot Mogo/RSU (32:26), quick goals ultimately decided the game in favor of Girts Ankipans` team.
In Piņķi, the teams met twice during the regular season, and on both occasions the Kyiv side came out on top – 3:2 and 5:3.
The top scorers in those games, with three points each, were defensemen from both teams –Vitalii Andreykiv and Niks Fenenko.
