After the international break, Oleg Tymchenko’s team will face Riga Hockey School for the second time this season.

Just over three weeks ago, the teams met in the Latvian capital, and now the Capitals will take on the role of hosts.

During this time, Juris Ozols’ side managed to move up from ninth to eighth place, overtaking Hockey Punks. This came after collecting three points in two games against Panter (a 4:3 win and a shootout loss). However, they were unable to overcome Energija in their final match before the break (1:3).

Meanwhile, on November 1, our team faced Prizma and earned a convincing revenge win (6:2). Currently, the Kyiv side sits third in the standings, just one point behind Mogo/RSU, who have played three more games. The gap to Liepaja is two points, but the latter have also played two games more.

The top scorer for Riga ahead of this game is Kristers Obuks, who has five points (3+2). For the Capitals, Martins Karsums continues to lead the way with 22 points (7+15).

The previous head-to-head matchup between the teams ended 7:2 in favor of Tymchenko’s men. That victory remains one of the most decisive for the Kyiv side (along with their 8:3 win over Panter). However, after the break, it will be crucial to regain their game rhythm, while the young Riga team will surely look to put up a fight once again.

An exciting continuation of the championship lies ahead.
