After 24 games played, Kyiv Capitals have earned 41 points and currently sit in second place. Oleg Tymchenko’s team trails league leaders Mogo/RSU only on tie-breaking criteria.

Goals scored

Kyiv Capitals have scored 110 goals and rank fourth in the league in this category. Ahead of them are Liepaja (119), Mogo/RSU (120), and Zemgale/LBTU (125).

Goals conceded

In 24 matches, our team has conceded 51 goals. Only Zemgale/LBTU has allowed fewer (43).

100th goal in the Optibet League

Andrii Kryvonozhkin scored the milestone goal in the home game against Liepaja (6:2).

Winning streak

From November 1 to December 17, Kyiv Capitals produced their longest winning streak of the season, recording nine consecutive victories.

Individual streak

Yang Hu delivered an excellent stretch in his first season in the league, registering points in 14 consecutive games. The streak ended in the winning match against Liepaja (6:2).

Biggest win

Oleg Tymchenko’s side set a new benchmark with a dominant 10:1 home victory over Panter.

Power play

Kyiv Capitals remain the league leaders in power play goals, scoring 37 times with the man advantage (32 in 5×4 situations and 5 in 5×3).

Social initiatives

In December, the first Elite Ice Challenge, held in Ogre, Latvia, raised €4,687. In addition, Kyiv hosted the third edition of the Winter Classic with Kyiv Capitals – traditional competitions for young hockey players. The event took place despite the difficult energy situation in the Ukrainian capital.

Post-Christmas activity

Led by Martins Karsums, the team won the 3×3 hockey tournament Hype Hockey Winter Clash. Representing Kyiv Capitals were Janis Voris, Kristians Zelts, Renars Cipruss, Denys Honcharenko, Danylo Tsarkovskyi, Edmunds Augstkalns, Alexandrs Novikovs, Lauris Bajaruns, and Eduards Hugo Jansons.

Top goal scorers

The team’s top four goal scorers are Lauris Bajaruns and Martins Karsums (13 goals each), followed by Andrii Kryvonozhkin and Daniil Fursa (10 goals each).

Top assist providers

The top three assistants are Martins Karsums (21), Yang Hu (20), and Rustams Begovs (16).

Martins Karsums leads Kyiv Capitals with 34 points (13+21), followed by Yang Hu with 29 points (9+20) and Lauris Bajaruns with 27 points (13+14).
