By defeating Liepaja with a score of 5:0, the Kyiv team triumphed on the opponent’s rink in regulation for the first time, and also updated the record for their biggest win over the Citizens.
Winning Streaks Continue
Oleg Tymchenko’s team prevailed twice over Hockey Punks (6:1, 9:1) and Prizma/RTU (6:3, 8:2). Kyiv Capitals have defeated the Lithuanians in all seven of their head-to-head encounters, and after losing the very first historical match to the Latvians, they have beaten them in nine straight games since.
Top 3 of the League
As of today, the Top 3 spots in points scored are occupied by the hockey players of the Kyiv Capitals’ first offensive line: Deivids Sarkanis (22 points, 9+13), Gatis Sprukts (15 points, 3+12), and Kevins Stradnieks (14 points, 7+7). It should be noted that right now, Sarkanis leads the 2026/2027 Optibet League in both goals and assists.
High-Scoring Defensemen
Three defensemen from our team simultaneously rank as the best among their positional peers across the league. They include Pauls Svars (9 points, 0+9), Eduards Hugo Jansons (8 points, 3+5), and Vitalii Andreykiv (8 points, 1+7).
