The second round of the Ukrainian Women’s Championship took place in Odesa once again. The team started off with a crucial match of the season, with Panthers eager for revenge after a tough loss the previous week.
The game proved to be intense, with both teams taking the lead till the middle of the second period. However, Kosich sealed the victory with a fourth goal, leaving Panthers without a response. Holitsyna`s goal further solidified the Capitals’ advantage, securing the win in the third period. Kosich’s exceptional performance, including a hat-trick, was a highlight of the match.
Panthers sought redemption against Kraken Sisters on Sunday morning, dominating with 11 unanswered goals after a narrow defeat in the first round.
Following this defeat, the Odesa team faced Capitals shortly after. Despite Kraken Sisters taking an early lead, the relentless pressure from Yevhen Alipov’s team proved too much for the home team. The match ended with a remarkable 12:1 victory for Capitals, securing their first championship title in their history with a tour still remaining. Elizabet Alipova also showcased her skills with a notable performance, with her hat-trick.
The third round of matches is scheduled for April, promising more thrilling action in the championship.
