Friday marks the beginning of Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team’s cup journey. Capitals, for the second time in their history, is set to participate in the cup tournament. In the previous year, our team was eliminated at the group stage, facing defeat against Kremenchuk. However, with a full season of experience in the championship, Capitals are entering this year’s tournament with more confidence. Just six days ago, they showcased their strength by defeating the local team in Kremenchuk with an impressive score of 7:3.

Their upcoming opponent will be another team from Kyiv – Tryzub. In the previous season, Capitals emerged victorious in all six encounters against them. During the offseason, Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team also engaged in two friendly matches with Oleksandr Yakovenko’s team, emerging as the stronger side.

Noteworthy changes in the opponent’s lineup include a new goalkeeping duo consisting of Danylo Makarenko and Zakhar Kasatonov. Additionally, ex-Capitals` players Pavlo Taran and Denys Khonin has strengthened their defense line, adding an extra layer of excitement to the upcoming derby.

Separately, we regret to announce the recent departure of one of our team’s goalkeepers Boris Babik. Moving forward, our goalkeeping team will be composed of only two individuals: Yaroslav Andriichuk and Nazar Boyko.

Furthermore, we are excited to reveal that the first pair of semi-finalists for the tournament has been decided. The teams advancing are Kremenchuk and Storm-Odesa, with the latter defeating Sokil in their recent match.

In addition, the winner of our upcoming match and the winner between Dnipro and Berserks will face off in the other semi-final encounter.
