Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team took a step towards advancing to the final series, but the tough and lengthy battle is still on the starting position.
Analysis of the initial meeting and the post-match comments from coaches reveals that Storm-Odesa’s main issue was their bad start in the first period and early second period. As the game progressed, the team’s offensive capabilities improved, but they were unable to overcome opponent`s three-goal lead.
Additionally, the players of Capitals got many penalties. Storm wasn`t able to capitalize on most part of their numerical advantages, but it did force the defenders to work harder and created tension for Haas.
