The season’s final match against the Odesa team, our team approaches the game in high spirits. The Ukrainian national team won bronze at the World Championship in Division 2B just under two weeks ago. Capitals were represented there by head coach Yevhen Alipov, defenders Valeriia Kopylova and Anhelina Maifeld, and forwards Elizabet Alipova and Elen Alipova.

Since then, just under two weeks have passed, giving the girls enough time to complete the long trip from New Zealand, get some rest, and prepare for the championship’s final round.

Heading into this match, our girls are already the undisputed champions. Nevertheless, Yevhen Alipov’s team is determined to finish the season on a high note in front of their home fans.

In the current championship, the rivals have met twice, and each time Capitals hockey players came out stronger (10:3 and 12:1). The top scorer for our team in these matches was Elizabet Alipova, who netted six goals.

Meanwhile, Kraken Sisters are facing their most important match in tomorrow’s second-place battle. However, the team from Odesa will try to challenge their opponents in today’s game.

We invite all women’s hockey fans to the Chalette Arena!
