Three teams from our structure are currently competing in different divisions of Kyiv Amateur Hockey League. In the upcoming game weekend, let’s take a brief look at the opponents for each team.
Veteran Division. 3rd round. ATEK 50+ – WHC Kyiv Capitals
October 26, 8:45. Arena ATEK
Although the season has not kicked off yet, our teams, except for the men’s team, are already gaining momentum in Amateur Hockey League.
The women’s team will lead the charge this weekend, facing off against ATEK 50+. Both teams are yet to secure a point in the tournament, having tasted defeat against Alliance 50+ and ARSENAL VETERANS in their previous matches. This upcoming game presents a great opportunity for Yevhen Alipov’s team to turn things around and break the streak of losses.
Master Division. 4th round. Kryzhynka-Capitals – Zmina-Bilyi Bars
October 26, 16:30. Arena Chalette
Kryzhynka-Capitals and Zmina-Biliy Bars also have identical statistics. Last season teams from Kyiv and Bila Tserkva faced off seven times in Junior Hockey League 2023/2024. The regular championship matches ended in a draw at 2:2. However, in the semi-final playoffs, Ihor Arkhypenko’s team emerged victorious with a 2:1 score, ultimately clinching the championship title.
In the current season in the master division, both teams are tied for sixth place, each securing one victory in their three encounters. Kryzhynka-Capitals triumphed over Sparta, but faced defeats against Arsenal and Kyiv Laurels. On the other hand, the representatives from the Kyiv region lost to Kyiv Laurels and Sparta, but managed to defeat the Sokil youth team. Consequently, the upcoming Saturday match presents an opportunity for both teams to balance their wins and losses.
Leader Division. 4th round. Alliance – Kryzhynka-Capitals-2009
October 27, 09:25. Arena Chalette
Our youngest team will play its match on Sunday. Kryzhynka-Capitals-2009 also has one victory. The young hockey players managed to beat Sich, but were defeated by Arsenal-2 and Berkut.
On the other hand, their opponents – Alliance currently leads the standings, taking turns over Avangard, Samtek and Sich. So, a difficult exam will await our boys.
