Kremenchuk made changes in the line-up opting for a rotation of players compared to the match against Kryzhynka. Eduard Zakharchenko and Denys Matusevych were once again absent from the line-up.

On the other hand, Radek Haas made his debut in Capitals` goal while Dash Quartarolo wasn`t in the squad. Mykhailo Vasyliiev and Deniss Berdniks formed the first pair of defenders, while Matvii Mazko made his first appearance in the fourth link after returning from Kryzhynka. Also Oleksandr Valkun and Oleksii Melnykov haven`t come with the team to Kremenchuk.

The first period brought a lot of intense play and struggle, with both teams vying for control. Both opponents had opportunities on the power play, but couldn’t capitalize. The hosts managed to score in the first 20 minutes, with Abadzhian scored the first puck in the match.

In the second period, our team had more opportunities to score, but Kucher made great work at his goal. The guests also dominated at the beginning of the third period. Chernenko passed to Panchenko who equalized the game. Yaroslav scored his fourth goal of the season against Kremenchuk. The Kyiv team faced challenges after opponent`s power play, but saves by Haas prevented the opponents from scoring.

Unfortunately, the match was interrupted with 9:16 till the end due to an alarm for a drone attack. So, teams were set to play the next day at 11:00. The home team started strong, but Haas made crucial saves, but neither team could secure a win in regulation time.

In overtime, Andrii Sriubko`s team quickly clinched the victory. While Haas stopped Pankov’s shot, he couldn’t prevent the rebound by Serednytskyi who scored second goal.

Kremenchuk now has 41 point, while Capitals holds 53 points, placing them in third position. The teams will face each other again tomorrow at 6:00 pm at the Chalette Arena.
