Series score – 0:3

In this match, Capitals couldn`t rely on Sirchenko, who was disqualified. However, another defender – Moksunen returned to the squad. Notable changes were seen in the Odesa team roster, with Revuka and Boiko making a comeback while Kruhliakov and Sapozhnik were absent. An interesting tactical shift occurred with Revuka and Aleksiuk taking on defensive roles, while Varava was deployed as an attacker.

The game began with our team taking an early lead, with Chernenko scoring a remarkable goal, assisted by Panchenko. The momentum continued as the guests extended their lead, with Hu scoring a second puck for Capitals.

Despite the efforts of the host team, guests conceded a third goal that mirrored the first puck scored against them. This time, Berdniks seized the opportunity, with the team captain expertly directing the puck into the net for the second time. Storm had a chance to score after penalty for Kryvonozhkin, but failed to take advantage of the two-minute power play.

In the second period, Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team had opportunities to gain a quantitative advantage, but they were unable to score in the 5×4 format. However, Oliynyk managed to score a goal shortly after. In the third period, Hordiushyn was replaced by Poperezhai.

The game between Capitals and Storm was not particularly fast-paced before the second break, but things started to pick up in the 46th minute when the home team managed to score a goal. Sydorenko took the initiative during a crucial moment, scoring against Haas after a well-executed play.

Despite a goal from Karpenko that should have returned the game advantage to Capitals, Storm fought back. Bobkin’s team quickly reduced the goal difference to two with goals from Nikonov and Sydorenko.

With more than half of the third period remaining, Shakhraichuk called a time-out. After that Capitals ended the game in calm manner with a couple of saves from Haas.

This victory was third for guests in the series, with the next game scheduled on Saturday at the Odesa Palace of Sports.
