In Poltava region, the final series moves with an even score. The defeat in the second match with a score of 1:4 was remembered not only by the first goalkeeper goal in the history of Ukrainian championships. Kremenchuk broke our team’s 10-match winning streak, and also handed Capitals their first defeat on their home turf in this year’s playoffs. Moreover, this victory was first for the team from Poltava region in away matches against Capitals.
Instead, Vadym Shakhraychuk’s players suffered four defeats in Kremenchuk last season (three in the championship and one in the cup), but in the current championship managed to break this streak by winning the first match. Overall, the Kyiv team earned four points at the Iceberg Arena.
On the other rink, the picture of the teams’ game is unlikely to change, as in Kyiv matches, the focus should be on finishing and goalkeeper work at the last line of defense. Therefore, it’s time to draw the right conclusions and continue moving towards the main goal in our first final!
