Next Saturday, Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team will play against the current winner of the Cup of Ukraine – HC Kremenchuk. The opponents have already met twice this season. Moreover, it happened in different tournaments.
In September, both teams played their first match in history on Iceberg arena. In match of group stage of the Cup of Ukraine, Dmytro Sumets` team defeated their opponents with a score of 4:1.
On October 19th, the teams held their debut meeting in championship. Thanks to successful game of Boris Babik, the team from Kremenchuk haven`t scored, and Capitals made a revenge – 6:0.
Another interesting point of the future match may be the debut of Capitals` American defender Colin Whitt, who recently joined the Kyiv team.
As about current positions of the opponents, we have to admit that Kremenchuk is currently on the 4th place with 13 points. In the last meeting of championship, team from Poltava region defeated Kharkiv Berserks at home match – 11:0.
At the same time, Kyiv Capitals are on the 3rd place and have already got 17 points. On Monday, Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team faced Sokil from Kyiv. After three wins in a row, in the derby Capitals were defeated in a series of shootouts.
The importance of the match is enhanced by the fact that after it the teams will have an almost two-week break, which is connected with the participation of the Ukrainian national team in the Tamas Sarkozy Memorial. Accordingly, the desire to go on a break with a good mood is an additional motivation for both participants of future match.
As about other matches of the tour, we should note that on November 3rd at 18:00 Sokil will play against Dnipro in Odesa, and two days later Tryzub will visit Vinnytsia for a match against Berserks.
