The 31-year-old defenseman will play for our team in the Optibet Hockey League.
Edmunds began his career with Riga Hockey School, and later in Latvia played for Juniors Riga, HK Riga, Dinamo, Mogo, Kurbads, and Olimp.
Our newcomer also brings international experience, having played for Austria’s Kitzbuheler, Sweden’s Aker/Strangnas and Kiruna, Poland’s Polonia Bytom and Torun, France’s Strasbourg, Japan’s East Hokkaido Cranes, and Germany’s Wohnbau Moskitos Essen. In Germany’s third-tier league during the 2024/2025 season, he tallied three goals and 27 assists.
Augstkalns has also represented Latvia at the U18, U20, and senior national team levels.
