The best player of the previous Optibet League season in terms of goals+assists has joined our club.
Sarkanis was born in the capital of Latvia, and his first senior club was Dinamo Riga. Other teams from his home country in the forward’s career were Prizma, Kurbads and Mogo/RSU, with which he won three consecutive championships in the Optibet League. In the previous season, he scored 75 points (28+47), 19 of them during the playoff stage.
Abroad, our newcomer defended the colors of the French Morzine-Avoriaz Les Gets, Austrian Kitzbuheler, British Nottingham Panthers and Milton Keynes Lightning, as well as Swedish Kalix.
The forward also has appearances for the Latvian youth national team (U-17), junior national team (U-20), and the senior national team of Latvia.
In total, Sarkanis has five Optibet League championship titles and one set of bronze medals.
