From the opening moments of the derby, the home team took control, putting pressure on Babik as he had to make several saves to protect his goal. However, Capitals quickly turned the tables, mounting relentless attacks on Viazovov’s goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eventually, Vadym Shakhraichuk’s squad capitalized on their power play advantage to score the first goal of the game. Oliynyk delivered a precise pass to Luhovyi, who fired a shot from behind the goal, and Kryvonozhkin skillfully deflected it into the net, tallying his 19th goal of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later in the first period, the away team took advantage of their numerical superiority on three situations. The same playmakers orchestrated a goal for Sekirko during a 5×3 power play, and just 10 seconds later, Tyshchenko found himself in a rather comical situation. Following a powerful shot from a Capitals forward, the puck actually slipped through the net. After a review, the referees confirmed the goal, awarding Danylo his 14th goal of the season, much to his delight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

25 seconds before the first break, Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team extended their lead to four goals. The visiting team took six seconds to respond with another power play goal. Taran brilliantly sliced through the opponents’ defense with a remarkable pass, and Luhovyi capitalized on it with a productive shot. However, Oleksandr Yakovenko’s team struggled to change the score, allowing Tymchenko to steal the puck from Dreval and confidently score on a breakaway against Babik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capitals were determined to keep their momentum going and secured their fifth goal closer to the middle of the second period. Viazovov managed to save a long-range shot from Berdniks, but Bezuhlyi was quick to pounce on the rebound, marking his goal in a second match in a row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have to admit that the highly anticipated debut goal for one of our defenders also was scored in this game. Chernenko skillfully make an assist to Moksunen and Eetu didn`t give Viazovov chance to save it. This goal was first for Moksunen as a member of the Kyiv Capitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the third period, the game saw its first double score. Kryvonozhkin and Tyshchenko did not let up after Oliynyk’s foul and skillfully completed the play. Andrii gave an assist and Danylo effectively outplayed Tymchenko, resulting the second goal for him. The match concluded with an impressive score of 7:1, offering several intriguing aspects. Notably, Tryzub team suffered their second consecutive defeat, both being derby matches and ending with an identical score. On the other hand, Kyiv Capitals celebrated their second consecutive victory, also with the same scoreline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This outcome solidified Vadym Shakhraichuk’s squad in the second position, as they reached a total of 47 points for the season. Meanwhile, Oleksandr Yakovenko’s team remained in fifth place with a total of 18 points. Looking ahead, on January 25th, Capitals will face off against Sokil in another exciting derby match, while Tryzub will host Dnipro a day earlier.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
